Fall Harvest Farmers Market Coming To Downtown Clarksburg Next Week
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Local farmers, makers and small businesses will come together in downtown Clarksburg next week as Pierpont Community & Technical College hosts a Fall Harvest Farmers Market.
The market is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pierpont’s Gaston Caperton Center, located at 501 W. Main Street in Clarksburg.
The event will feature locally grown produce, baked goods, handcrafted items and other seasonal products from area vendors. The market is open to students, employees and the general public.
Pierpont officials said the event is designed to give local farmers and small businesses another opportunity to connect directly with the community while bringing additional activity to the college’s downtown Clarksburg location.
“These events create opportunities for people to shop locally, discover new vendors and spend time together on campus,” Skylar Thompson, an admissions and advising specialist at Pierpont, said in announcing the markets.
The Clarksburg event is one of two Fall Harvest Farmers Markets being hosted by Pierpont this month. A similar market is being held Wednesday at the college’s Advanced Technology Center in Fairmont.
Pierpont has also hosted spring farmers markets as part of its effort to bring students, local businesses and community members together through campus events.
The Clarksburg Fall Harvest Farmers Market will run from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the Gaston Caperton Center. Admission is open to the public.
