Splash Zone Opens for the Summer Season in Clarksburg
The wait is over for local swimmers and families looking to kick off summer.
The Splash Zone at Clarksburg City Park officially opens for the 2026 season on Saturday, May 30, welcoming visitors back for another summer of fun in the sun. Opening day hours are scheduled from noon until 7 p.m.
The community pool has become a popular summertime destination for residents throughout North Central West Virginia, offering a place to cool off, relax, and enjoy outdoor recreation during the warmer months.
Officials are reminding families that unaccompanied youth between the ages of 12 and 17 must have an online waiver completed before being admitted to the pool. Parents only need to complete the waiver once, and it will remain valid for the entire summer season.
Pool staff say visitors in that age group who do not have a completed waiver on file will not be permitted to enter until the form has been submitted.
With summer temperatures arriving and school winding down, the opening of the Splash Zone marks the unofficial start of summer for many local families.
