Southern Momma & Friends Bringing Live Comedy to Robinson Grand

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Comedian Darren Knight, better known to audiences as “Southern Momma,” will bring his touring comedy show to downtown Clarksburg this week.

Southern Momma & Friends LIVE is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center. Knight will be joined by longtime touring partner Red Squirrel and special guest Nicole Starnes.

Knight, a native of Munford, Alabama, built a national following through his Southern Momma character and comedy centered on parenting, family life and the everyday experiences of small-town communities.

The character grew from a Facebook video filmed in Knight’s living room that received approximately 9 million views in one week. He has since developed a following of millions and taken his comedy act to theaters across the country.

Red Squirrel has spent eight years touring alongside Knight and is known for her comedy about marriage and Southern life. Starnes, a Knoxville comedian, will bring her observational humor to the three-person lineup.

Tickets are $35 for Tier II seating, $50 for Tier I seating and $75 for the VIP package. VIP tickets include premium seating and a post-show meet-and-greet.
