RCB Stays Unbeaten With 42-14 Win Over Keyser

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Robert C. Byrd continued its unbeaten start Friday night with a 42-14 victory over Keyser at Flying Eagle Stadium.

The matchup brought two undefeated Class AAA teams into the night, but RCB took control early and carried a 28-0 lead into halftime.

Quarterback Isaiah Heflin accounted for five touchdowns, throwing for two and rushing for three, as the Flying Eagles improved to 3-0.

Junior Smith also had a big night for RCB, finishing with more than 100 receiving yards, a touchdown and an interception on defense.

The victory followed wins over Lewis County and Fairmont Senior to open the season and handed Keyser its first loss.

RCB returns home Friday to face Preston.
