Rain Can’t Stop the Celebration as Robert C. Byrd High School Honors Class of 2026

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Despite rainy conditions Friday morning, the celebration continued as Robert C. Byrd High School honored the Class of 2026 during its commencement ceremony held outdoors in front of several hundred family members, friends, faculty, and supporters.

Graduates crossed the field surrounded by cheers and umbrellas as weather did little to dampen the excitement of one of the school year’s biggest milestones. The ceremony marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another for students preparing to enter the workforce, continue their education, serve in the military, and pursue opportunities across West Virginia and beyond.

The morning featured traditions, reflection, and celebration as the community came together to recognize the accomplishments and perseverance of this year’s graduating class.
