Photos: Antero Foundation Hosts 9th Annual Hats, Hearts & Horses Kentucky Derby Gala in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Community leaders, business partners, supporters, and guests gathered at Pete Dye Golf Club earlier this month as the Antero Foundation hosted its 9th annual “Hats, Hearts & Horses” Kentucky Derby Gala, one of North Central West Virginia’s signature charitable events.

Held in conjunction with the running of the Kentucky Derby, the annual event combined derby fashion, entertainment, food, and fundraising with a mission centered around supporting communities across the region. Guests took part in activities throughout the evening including a bourbon tasting experience, cocktail hour, auctions, dinner, entertainment, and viewing of the Kentucky Derby race.

The gala serves as a major fundraiser for the Antero Foundation, which supports nonprofit organizations and community initiatives in areas including education, community development, environmental causes, health and human services, and arts and culture throughout the areas Antero serves. Organizers noted that the event has helped raise more than $800,000 for local nonprofit efforts over its first eight years, with continued momentum building through this year’s event.

Now in its ninth year, the event continues to attract strong support from across the region and has become a highly anticipated annual gathering that blends philanthropy with celebration while helping generate meaningful investments in local communities.
