Patrick Marozzi Named Head Baseball Coach at Liberty Middle School

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Veteran baseball coach Patrick Marozzi has been named the next head baseball coach at Liberty Middle School, marking a new chapter in a coaching career that has spanned high school and youth baseball across Harrison County.

Marozzi announced the move following the conclusion of the 2026 season with the West Virginia Miners 12U travel baseball team, where he coached after stepping down as head baseball coach at Notre Dame High School in 2017.

Over the past several years, Marozzi has remained active in youth baseball, coaching in the Harrison County Pony League, Clarksburg Little League and the West Virginia Miners organization.

In announcing the transition, Marozzi reflected on his time with the Miners, thanking fellow coaches, players, parents and families for their support while emphasizing the growth and development of young athletes throughout his tenure.

Now, his focus shifts to Liberty Middle School, where he said he is honored to lead one of North Central West Virginia's most tradition-rich baseball programs.

"Yes, it's a middle school now, but the legacy of Liberty High School baseball lives on," Marozzi wrote in announcing the coaching change. "I will carry on the rich baseball tradition that was set before me."

Although stepping away from coaching a Miners team, Marozzi said he plans to remain involved with the organization and looks forward to continuing to support its players and coaches in the future.

Looking ahead to the 2027 season, Marozzi said his goal is clear: compete for a conference championship in his first year leading the Liberty Middle School program.
