Mayor Wayne Worth, Three City Council Members Sworn In During Special Clarksburg Meeting

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Mayor Wayne Worth and three newly elected members of Clarksburg City Council officially took the oath of office Wednesday evening during a special meeting at Clarksburg City Hall.

Worth was sworn in as mayor, succeeding former Mayor Jim Malfregeot following the May municipal election. Jerry Riffle, Rocky Romano II and Andrew Banko were also sworn in to begin new four-year terms on Clarksburg City Council.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, City Council selected Rocky Romano II to serve as the city's vice mayor.

The ceremony marked the official transition to Clarksburg's new municipal leadership after voters elected Worth as mayor and Romano, Banko and Riffle to the three available council seats during the May 12 municipal election.

The newly seated council will now begin its term overseeing city operations, budgeting, infrastructure projects and other municipal priorities.
