Clarksburg Set for Major Friday Night of Country Music and Comedy

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Clarksburg will host two major entertainment events Friday night as nationally known performers take the stage at two of the city’s premier venues.

Country music star Tyler Hubbard will perform at the Clarksburg Amphitheater, while comedian Zach Rushing will bring his Redneck Logic Tour to the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center.

The two performances will begin only 30 minutes apart, giving local audiences a choice between an outdoor country music concert at Veterans Memorial Park and a night of Southern comedy inside the historic downtown theater.

Hubbard’s concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. The multi-platinum performer became nationally known as one half of Florida Georgia Line before launching a successful solo career.

His solo hits include “5 Foot 9,” “Dancin’ in the Country,” “Back Then Right Now” and “Park.”

Friday’s performance will also bring Hubbard back to a familiar Clarksburg stage. He previously appeared at the Amphitheater with Florida Georgia Line in 2013 as the group was rapidly rising to national prominence.

Tickets are listed at $50 for general admission, $58 for reserved seating and $68 for premium seating. Official Tyler Hubbard tickets can be purchased through the Clarksburg Amphitheater’s authorized Etix page.

Downtown, Rushing’s Redneck Logic Tour is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Robinson Grand. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Rushing has developed a national following through social media and live performances built around small-town life, personal experiences and direct, adult-oriented storytelling.

The Robinson Grand advises that the performance contains adult language and themes and recommends parental discretion for younger guests.

Tickets are priced at $39, $49 and $64, depending on seat location. Official Zach Rushing tickets can be purchased directly through the Robinson Grand. The theater says it is the only authorized ticketing source for the performance.

With both performances happening on the same evening, Friday will offer one of the busiest nights on Clarksburg’s summer entertainment schedule.

The events also highlight the different experiences offered by the city’s two major performance venues, with a national country music artist appearing outdoors at the Amphitheater while a touring comedian performs in the heart of downtown Clarksburg.
