City Council to Host March 14th Open House for Unique Housing Project on Monticello Ave.

The City of Clarksburg along with the Clarksburg-Harrison Regional Housing Authority and Mountain Opportunities Corporation will be hosting an Open House for their newest development located on Monticello Avenue.
The property is located at the corner of Monticello Avenue and Henderson Street in Clarksburg.  The property was donated to the project by community leader Mateen Abdul-Aziz. 
The date of the Open House is Wednesday, March 14th from 11am to 1pm.
A ribbon cutting with city officials will take place at 12:00 noon.
The public is invited to attend the Open House.  Those attended with be treated to a tour of the property. Light snacks and refreshments will also be served.

The project was financed through the West Virginia Housing Development Fund and was the only project of that kind financed in 2015.  Mountain Opportunities Corporation also provided funding.

The development consists of four one-bedroom units approximately 950 square feet, in which each unit consists of a living room, kitchen, bath, laundry and small private deck.

The project total was $575,400 and was constructed by Daycon Construction, Inc. of Philippi, WV.
