Bridgeport Police Chief John Walker reported Thursday evening that an arrest has been made in connection to six overdoses in the Harrison County area. The arrest came as a result of a multi-agency investigation into the illegal distribution of oxycodine and Fentanyl.  The Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and Three Rivers Task Force are partnering for the investigation.

Colton Kallel of Clarksburg is charged with three counts of distribution of Fentanyl.

Walker reports six overdoses in the past week, including one person in critical condition.

Harrison County Prosecuting Attorney Rachel Romano said that a drug dealer who distributes drugs leading to an overdose or death can be charged.

A fatal overdose can sometimes carry as much as a life sentence for the dealer.
