Delegates Iaquinta, Hamrick and Queen Vote FOR Supreme Court Impeachments

By Connect Clarksburg Staff | August 17, 2018

The House of Delegates this past Monday considered articles of impeachment not just on a single political figure but on each sitting member of the state Supreme Court.

The only justice who isn’t under consideration for impeachment is Menis Ketchum, spared because he submitted his resignation the day before the proceedings began.

The rest of the justices — Allen Loughry, Margaret Workman, Robin Davis and Beth Walker — are accused of crossing the line on a variety of items, including failure to hold each other accountable, signing off on skirting the law on payment of senior status judges and spending lavishly on office renovations.

{Harrison County Delegates Richard Iaquinta, Danny Hamrick and Ben Queen all voted for the impeachment of one or more members of the Supreme Court.  Delegate Tim Miley was absent and excused because he was out of state taking his daughter to law school in California.  The roll call votes for each Article of Impeachment are listed in the blog account of the House of Delegate proceedings recorded by Brad McElhinney of WV MetroNews.}
